Allies Building Community Diversity Library
This library, hosted at Peace United Church of Christ and run by volunteers from our wider community, seeks to provide all children with access to books in which they can see themselves and their experiences reflected. To that end, we seek out books in the following main areas, emphasizing Black, indigenous, and people of color who are underrepresented in children's literature.
Aging; Bodies, Minds, and Abilities; Communities; Environment and Nature; Events and Eras; Faith and Religion; Families; Friendship; Government, Justice, and Civic Responsibility; Historical Figures and Leaders; LGBTQ+; Women and Girls; World Peoples, Cultures, and Traditions
